FALLS CHURCH, VA—The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) , the premier source of learning, knowledge, and research for the orthotic and prosthetic (O&P) profession for more than 50 years, announced it won a gold award for its O&P Rising podcast in the 2023 MarCom international creative competition for marketing and communication professionals.
The Academy’s O&P Rising podcast series, which premiered in January of this year, is a monthly podcast hosted by rising O&P professionals. The podcast offers candid insights from seasoned O&P professionals on topics relevant to those interested in starting on the right foot when it comes to a career in O&P. A new O&P Rising podcast episode is released on the third Wednesday of each month.
The Academy offers two additional podcasts for O&P professionals: The award-winning O&P Research Insights with Dr. Steve Gard features one-on-one discussions with authors from the Journal of Prosthetics and Orthotics (JPO), providing O&P clinicians and rehab specialists with actionable knowledge to implement in practice; and O&P Clinical Insiders with Academy Scientific Societies Chair Seth O’Brien, CP, FAAOP(D), a podcast created for conversations on specific areas of clinical care.
All three Academy podcast offerings are available on Apple, Spotify, Google, or wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts. The MarCom Awards is one of the oldest, largest, and most respected creative competitions in the world and recognizes outstanding achievements by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design, and production of marketing and communication materials and programs.
