Are you actively conducting research or interested in getting started? Use these guides to answer common questions, understand research terminology, and locate funding. 

The Academy Resident Research is comprised of the best of the research projects performed by students enrolled in an NCOPE residency program. Papers that do not qualify as research using the scientific criteria applied by the Academy Research Council but may still be of interest to our members are posted as "Papers of Interest."

This database was designed as a resource to support members in accessing the most comprehensive O&P rehabilitation-specific evidence available. This platform evolves parallel to members' needs while facilitating access, literacy, and application through collaborative knowledge translation initiatives.

Surveying Academy Members

The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) is committed to advancing research within the Orthotic, Prosthetic, and Podorthic profession and encourages research in related fields. As a service to the O&P profession and the healthcare community, the Academy will distribute approved research survey invitations.
