O&P Alliance Historic Agreement with BOC
Joint Statement of the O&P Alliance on the signing of the Historic Agreement between the Alliance members and the BOC- in December of 2008 the Academy as a member of the Alliance was a signer of the historic agreement that will bring BOC into alignment with ABC in their requirements for certification as an Orthotist or Prosthetist. Since the time this agreement was signed the profession has agreed to move to a Master's Degree as the entry level into the profession. Both ABC and BOC have said they will work to move their certification requirements to the Master's level.
